Set in inner-city Oslo, Uno is a powerful drama about David a twenty-Five-year-old with few prospects for the future. His days are spent hanging around a gym mostly populated by petty criminals. Still, it's better than home: His father is terminally ill, his brother is mentally handicapped, and he's unable to connect with his mother. But then, as his father is on his deathbed, the gym is raided by the police. David chooses to betray his friends in the hope of reaching his father for a last farewell. But it's too late. With his father dead and his mother grief stricken, he's forced to take responsibility for his brother just as he becomes a target by his former underworld friends.

Customer Reviews
A Great Movie
Watched this movie a few times, and really like it.... recommend it to all my norwegian speaking friends...
Fantastic music and grim realism
A memorable film, mostly beacuse of the grim reality-feel in the movie. You can tell that some of the story is bigraphical from the director.
Also a very good contributor to the good grades is the music; Tom Mcrae's work is amazingly perfect to the film and a crucial part of making this movie memorable, and thus; a film worth owning.
Bought it for the music...
I have to admit, I bought the Uno DVD not because I was expecting an amazing movie or even because I careed about the film itself. Rather, I bought the DVD because Ulver contributed some music to the soundtrack. As expected, Ulver's music didn't disappoint. Aside from Ulver, the soundtrack featured some tracks by another musician, Tom McRae I believe. His stuff sounded pretty good too.
As far as the movie goes, it was pretty solid. I'm not a big movie buff so I don't have much intelligent to say about the movie itself other than that I enjoyed it, especially the ending.
