A great cast!!!!
this is a great "b" movie that should've done better than it did.The cast
is great, and Eric Roberts is his usual cool self.A good movie that HBO
used to show at 4am in the morning, and I was happy to get on DVD!!
Time is precious because you can't get it back
This is what Nick (the always cool Eric Roberts) says to the eight thieves he's rounded up to pull off a daring heist. Unfortunately you might want your time back if you sit through all of this movie. It has a great cast that also includes Tia Carrere, Joe Pantoliano, William Forsythe, Tony Curtis, Chris Rock (doing way too much shrieking), and Clarence Williams. Nick is a nightclub owner who needs help relieving an "overseas investor" of four suitcases containing seven million dollars. The thieves will be wearing Guy Fawkes masks outfitted with a Pinocchio sized nose. No one trusts each other and when two of the team are shot during the robberies things get out of hand. It's very much like 'Reservoir Dogs' since one suffers from a nasty shot to the stomach and the bleeding baddies all return to the site of the casino to await further instructions from Nick. Even this eccentric of a cast can't make a good movie if the script is lacking. The screenwriter Kevin Barnhardt, who plays Billy, is more effective as an actor than writer. He gives himself the best lines not surprisingly. What makes this one different is the unexpected secret that links all eight crooks. I wasn't expecting it and it made me respect the film just a bit more. It's fun and if you like any of the cast you might like it. For the two people who saw the Steven Seagal bomb squad masterpiece 'Ticker', you'll recognize that that film seems to consist entirely of the interior and exterior shots of the casino in this one.
Fine
I usually get movies that has a star I enjoy. In this case is was Tia. She always pleases me and for that reason I think you would like it.
