Reliable instrument, excellent value
After buying one for a friend, I bought two for myself - one for home and one for work. The setup is simple and performance is great. When mounting the outdoor sensor, avoid using the adhesive pads to stick the cradle to the side of a buidling. Instead, mount the sensor cradle with screws and half inch spacers between the surface and sensor cradle to allow maximum airflow around the back of the sensor. This minimizes the effect of attaching the unit directly to a building surface. I found that this can significantly improve the accuracy of the reading and make the unit more responsive to outside air temperature changes. Also, be sure to mount the sensor so that it is never exposed to direct sunlight, which can boost the reading by as much as 10 degrees.

Affordable weather station
I had a similar version of this thermometer (La Crosse Technology WS-7013BZ-IT-CBP Wireless Temperature Station) that worked great until the sensor croaked, but I had it for many years and got more than my money's worth. When I shopped around for a replacement, I choose this one. It has a bit bigger display than the other one and I like that a lot. It's displays time and temp accurately. I have another LaCrosse in the Kitchen, the larger one. They make great products that last.

VERY Good Value
I had a little difficulty setting the time; the "SET/CH" button didn't want to work initially. A couple of retries and I was able to set the clock, etc. The only slight downside is that I wish the outside temperature reading were at the top, then inside temperature reading, then the time at the bottom. Not a big deal considering that the unit works well.

Mounting the sending unit was easy... attach the bracket with the supplied screw(s) and snap the unit into the bracket.

I also bought the WS-9160U-IT, thinking that I needed two indoor/outdoor wireless thermometers (I didn't, resurrected an older one). I will give this as a gift with complete confidence.

In summary, I would highly recommend the WS-9117U-IT.
