Customer Reviews
DON' T BUY IT !
This is real cheating ! It is a very bad copy of Live in Munich - even in mono sound quality ! They should put this guys in jail ! DON'T BUY IT !
I cannot repeat it enough. I can't imagine this has been made...
Do not buy this DVD!!!
One star for Miles? One star for his music? NO WAY! One star is solely for Immortal for issuing the same concert of Miles Davis, recorded in Munich 1988, three years after it was issued by Pioneer (Miles Davis, Live in Munich, Pioneer PA-11853, 2002, 2-DVD pack). It will be no problem if Immortal DVD was a little better than the Pioneer DVD. But unfortunately it was not the case. Far from that. Immortal DVD is even shorter (100 minutes compared to 132 minutes on Pioneer DVD). The tracks that are missing are: The Senate, Me & U, Wrinkle and Time After Time. The picture is also much better on Pioneer DVD. The dark parts of the picture on Immortal DVD are greenish and too bright. Both DVDs have Dolby Digital stereo and 5.1 surround audio tracks but again the audio of Pioneer DVD is better mastered. Extras? Immortal DVD has none. Pioneer has The Art of Miles Davis, Biographical Timeline, Liner Notes by Adam Holzman and Rare Interview with Miles Davis (32 minutes on second DVD).
Recommendations? Do not buy this DVD even if you are a hard core Miles fan like me; browse Amazon for the Pioneer DVD.
