DURAN DURAN AT ITS BEST!!5
5 reasons why you should buy this awesome DVD :

1- The audio and visual quality are absolutely amazing!

2- The band has never sounded this good live. It's incredible to hear how they manage to sound even better than on their actual cd's,especially Simon Le Bon.

3- They play their greatest hits and for the hardcore fans there are even songs like the chauffer, careless memories, planet earth..what a treat!!

4- The stage, the huge screens and the audience participation are nothing short of breathtaking!

5- They set the bar way too high for other bands as far as live shows go,proving us once more why they were one the greatest pop bands ever to come out of the wonderful 80's era.

Just get it...YOU'LL LOVE IT!!

Perfect!5
Being a life long Duran Duran fan, I saw them live for the first time this past summer. What I had to tell people of this concert is exactly this, "They sounded absolutely flawless! Perfect! 10!" People would cock their head to the side and say, "Duran Duran? That pretty boy band from the eighties?" I would reply, "Yes!! Duran Duran!!" "Ohhh yeah, yeah, I heard that they are making a come back." "Comeback? They were never gone! They have been consistently putting out great albums every few years ever since their self titled debut album in 1981. But yes, the original group is back....if that's what you mean." Duran Duran is always dismissed as a watered down 80's pop band, but they are one of the most underrated bands of our time. When you see this DVD and question how great they sound and assume that it's post production trickery, let me assure you that they sound just as good live as the do on the DVD. They just sound THAT good. I'm not only a music fanatic, but a musician myself and I have a very critical ear. I have seen nearly 160 national artists and bands perform. These guys put on a great show. They have been around long enough to know how to do it right and their seasoned professionalism shows. If you love the music of Duran Duran, you will love this DVD. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent5
This concert is really good. I'm not a big Duran Duran fan, but I have to say that they put on an excellent show and they sound exactly like their albums.

DVD rating:

Content: 10 out of 10. Every major song was on the playlist, my favorite "Rio" being the grand finale; about 1 hour 30 minutes and 20 songs. There is even a 20 minute documentary on their history.

Sound: 10 out of 10. No flaws - 4 choices of audio, Dolby Digital 5.1, SBS 5.1, Pro Logic, DTS 5.1 (the best of course). It has excellent ambiance, and detailed lows and highs.

Picture: 6.5 out of 10. Despite being advertised as filmed in HD, the transfer had many artifacts at long range. Not all cameras were HD and that was apparent in the transfer. The colors were vibrant and the picture wasn't bad. It is wide-screen aspect.

I plugged in the sub, but forgot to turn it on, and it still had excellent bass. I later tried it with the sub, and thought that I would either have to turn the sub down or not use it at all. I played it between -20 and -18 dbs, and after the concert was over, my ears kinda hurt. It was like actually being at a concert.
