Customer Reviews
What a powerful blower!
I wanted to get rid of my Stihl gas-powered blower (took too much maintenance), and thought this might do the trick. Boy, it sure does! I plugged in a 100-foot heavy-duty extension cord (it comes without a cord, which is great--you plug an extension cord directly into the back) and turned it on and was surprised by its power. A very strong stream of air blasted the oak leaves hither and yon. It is light, so you won't get tired lugging it around, and it doesn't deafen you or burn you with exhaust gasses and doesn't pour out vile blue oily smoke like a gas blower. Also you don't have to drain the fuel and run the carburetor dry for storage. Well worth the money.
absolutely perfect for a desert landscape
Can't use a comination blower/vacuum on a desert landscape(tiny stones that would be sucked up would destroy the impeller in vacuum mode) and 160mph is quite enough - any faster, it'd blow away the stones.
Wal-mart had the same blower on sale for about the same price(plus tax), but it was rated at 150mph, not the 160mph of the one I bought from Amazon.
Leafblower - Weed Eater WEB160
Maybe not as powerful as gas-powered models but so much lighter and maneuverable that those two factors alone more than make-up for the very slightly weaker air flow. I own a gas model Weed Eater, and except for the few corners of my yard that are too far to be reachable with the extension cords I have, I am now only using this electric blower.
It's powerful enough even to deal with piles of wet leaves and you don't have to worry about refilling its tank and making sure you have both gas and oil to mix. The absence of gas fumes is also another big plus.
