Handy ... But Precautions Needed
I agree with the other review here. If this outlet cover is too tight, then the swiveling outlet cover will get stuck and won't protect the socket.

I'd recommend getting one to try at Babies R Us first. If it doesn't work for your outlet, then it would be easier to return.

There are 2 basic ways to attach depending upon your existing outlet. If your existing outlet plate only has 1 screw then you attach this one the same way. You may run into the wobbliness issue since overtightening prevents the swiveling outlet covers from working. If your existing outlet plate cover uses 2 screws, then this product may work better for you.

big plugs don't fit inside cutout
Fine for small sized plugs, but our vacuum cleaner plug doesn't fit inside the cutout and stays wobbly when I'm vacuuming the hallway. I'm going with the sliding plate covers from now on; they're also spring-loaded but have the plug holes flush with the plate cover.

perfect solution
My cousin and I both love these. They're perfect for frequently used plugs (like where you vacuum) and in the kids' rooms because they snap back to "safe" as soon as someone (big or small) pulls the plug. Easy installation but I did have to tighten it more than expected. They're not sold at the 'R Us stores - only at Burlington/Baby Depot, Home Depot, Lowes, Mejer, and online.
