Album Description
A dozen years after exploding onto the scene with "Stay (I Missed You)" from the Gen-X movie classic Reality Bites, Lisa Loeb--one of the most recognizable musical artists of the last decade--premieres not only her first "best of" collection but her own unscripted TV series. With E! Entertainment Television's #1 Single debuting in January, The Very Best of Lisa Loeb was released January 24, 2006. Heard on both is "Single Me Out," the theme song to the TV series.
Customer Reviews
I don't understand why they do that!
I don't believe they left Someone You Should Know out of this collection!! That would have made this CD really complete!! I don't know why music companies always leave some relevant tracks out. Probably they think people will buy both records, but I don't think that's the case. Anyhow, I think this is a good selection, but not all of her best songs are here.
great best of...
When I bought htis Cd, I was only familiar with Loeb's more popular hits like "Stay" and "I Do". However, I love the rest of the CD. I is very mellow, but Lisa's vocals provide a quiet power to her lyrics.
Finally!
Yes, Lisa Loeb is quirky *and* hot! :) She is also incredibly talented, and her music is original and infectious. I've been a fan since "Stay," and it's nice to see a "best of" collection. Most of my favorite songs made it on this album -- it seems like a well-chosen collection. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has only heard "Stay," "Do You Sleep?" and "I Do" -- if you want to hear more of the same intelligent, catchy music, it's here in abundance! Also, check out Lisa's TV show on E! -- it's lots of fun!
