About the Brand
StarKist has been in business since 1917, first operating as a French sardine company. In 1953, that company became Star-Kist foods. In 1961, Charlie the Tuna was introduced to consumers across America. Charlie has been the star spokesfish for StarKist ever since. This tuna is terrific!!!
The Starkist Chunk Light Tuna packed in *oil* has a superior, fresh flavor, not greasy, with just the right amount of salt. The texture is firm and, unlike canned tuna, there is actually tuna in this pouch. A 7-oz pouch of tuna has more tuna than two 6-ounce cans (which are about half water or oil). I highly recommend you try this.

best tuna ever
This tuna is (without any close competition) The Best I've ever eaten. I used to love albacore packed in spring water, but now that tastes absolutely tasteless & dry compared to this one. So, even though this one is chunk light, it's not heavy tasting at all. I can't stand regular canned chunk light, since it tastes way too strong. And this one is also not greasy tasting at all. I've also tried the water pack pouches, but they're harder & drier in texture & not nearly as soft & delicious as the oil pack. I used to be able to find both large & small oil packs in my local supermarket, but now they sell only the small ones. So, I was thrilled to find the large ones here on Amazon. I will buy it . . . forever. Many thanks!!

Missing Pouch and awful customer service
The product is great. The tuna has great taste and is delicious.
it took 22 days to get my order and surprise surprise the box only had 11 puches (instead of the 12).
I called Customer Service and after 20 min of explanantion tey told me to go online and return the box to get another one. because this item is considered "food" it's not returnable.
Bottom line the product is great but in this case the Amazon service was pretty low,
