Album Description
Lady and the Tramp Soundtrack

Amazon.com
This early '50s Disney classic had it all: class confrontation (purebred meets mutt), memorable songs (by Sonny Burke and Peggy Lee), and an unusually truthful view of household creatures (dogs are good, cats are bad). "The Siamese Cat Song" shimmers with the mock Orientalism of classic Exotica--enhanced by Lee's double-tracked evocation of barely domesticated evil. Producer Randy Thornton deserves credit for piecing together Oliver Wallace's myriad cues into a reasonably cohesive musical work, but the handful of Peggy Lee tracks are the real treasure. Whether fronting a choir of howling dogs on "He's a Tramp" or employing that oddly dispassionate "Is That All There Is" voice on "What Is a Baby," it's Lee who, a half century later, still commands the spotlight. --Bill Forman

By far one of the best classic Disney soundtracks5
This was the first classic Disney soundtrack I purchased and it is really able to hold its own against all the other soundtracks in this series. The score takes on a much more lightly mature tone than that of the other scores (except for maybe Bambi, which still is a bit more heavy handed.) The music very much reflects the laid back yet intent way the story is styled in the actual film. There is a lot of score to listen to, but it all flows together and each piece still retains its own individuality. And, as always, "He's A Tramp" is just as irresistable as it was when the film first premiered over 40 years ago. A lush yet down to earth soundtrack make this a vital and highly enjoyable addition to any Disney music collection!

best ever5

i'm very satisfied with the product. although when i selected 2 day shipping i expected it to get here in 2 buisness days which was not the case. it came within 2 days of shipping but i see no reason as to why they shipped it so many days after i ordered it. it almost came to late for the purpose that i needed it for. but i'm glad that i got it. and it was in great condition.
