Customer Reviews

Goin'Mad Blues4
What a nice collection. Ten cd's each about an hours worth of blues. Like all the collections from this company there are no notes of any kind. The only information is song title, artist, and length. The recordings are adequate to pretty good. The songs are in no real order of any kind. That out of the way I have to say that this is a great collection of music by quite a few well-known people. John Lee Hooker,T-bone Walker,Big Joe Williams,Bessie Smith,Leadbelly and a number of others all show up here. The styles range from country to electric to r&b. This collection is aimed at anyone who enjoys blues, novice or long time listeners. The price makes this a great purchase. Don't think low price equals low quality. Two other collections from the same people are just as good-Rhythm&Blues and Diggin' Deeper. Both ten cd sets approximately the same price.

The best5
This is a very good compilation and a cornerstone of my 5,000 plus blues song collection. The reviewer above/below thought so to but only gave it 4 stars? Well, five stars for me. A little bit of pre-war once in a while really hits the spot. It can't get any funkier. If you know what I'm talking about, you know what I'm talking about.
