Very Good for a low budget movie4
The Fallen was very good for a low budget movie. It focuses on the
fragile relationship between an Italian unit and German Unit on the
Gothic Line. It is a little confusing to follow the plot in the
beginning but once the movie got going I could not walk away from it.
The equipment and uniforms were correct and the acting was very good
(For the struggling actors in this movie they really put there all
into it. Watch the making of the fallen, none of the actors are not
professionals so they have regular jobs. One actor is even a
professional dog walker in real life and another works in a deli. The
acting they do in this movie is definitely on a professional caliber).
The fallen is a definite must see.

I can't even begin to fathom..5
I can't even begin to fathom the poor reviews this movie has earned.

This film is an indie masterpiece and offers a fascinating story and dramatic storyline.

I could only ascertain that those whom submitted bad reviews have absolutely no tolerance for the neutrality in which the director portrays the americans, nazi's, and italians. This movie doesn't bash nazi's and to be honest I think American's are offended at this notion.

The acting is mediocre however as is life; the bland originality of this film is what makes it so convincing. When I first viewed this movie, I was under the immediate impression that it was made in the 50's based upon the dull coloring and acting. however I quickly became succumbed to the method in which this movie truly shines - the elements of ethnic drama and life.

View this movie if you adore war movies, have a willingness to enjoy a film for what it is, and not special effects, and if you don't immediately expect the demoralization of other nations aside from the usa. This movie poses no preference in accordance to usa/germany, and I think that's what initially throws everybody off. After all; how could a movie not truly exemplify the horrific nazi's as the monsters they were? This film doesn't; and emphasizes an element that is more important; the element of reality and humanism.

Two thumbs up.

Best International War Film Ever5
The movie is excellent. It describes the morale soldiers up kept during the war and the integrity of their leaders. The Germans fought till the death with honor, and the Americans triumphed with glory. Italy was a German occupied territory and with an internal revolution between the armend forces and the Gueriilas, which opposed Germany. Great weapons!
