Editorial Reviews

Album Description
A second volume of 12 all time Rolling Stones classics set to seductive electro-bossa. Bossa N' Stones 2 maintains the attraction and the distinction of it's predecessor, yet ups the ante by increasing the subtlety of these hits with inspired musical arrangements and a fresh sound concept. After the success of the first volume (which has already gone platinum), Volume 2 presents early hits like 'I'm Free', 'As Tears Go By' and 'Paint It, Black', as well as the major '70s numbers like 'Tumbling Dice', 'It's Only Rock N' Roll' and 'Emotional Rescue'. The album reaches forward into the '80s with 'Mixed Emotions', one of the highlights of the disc. Once again, a number of musicians from different latitudes have joined forces to bring a different perspective and have created a must-have album for all who enjoy really great music. MBB. 2006.

Customer Reviews

A good follow up4
Like most follow-ups, this second electro-bossa Rolling Stones collection doesn't beat its predecessor, but it certainly won't disappoint you. The songs were carefully covered so that, while preserving their original spirit, they are altered enough not to invoke comparisons or make you miss the orignal versions. However, although they include songs that were composed in such different eras as 1965 to 1989, the electro-bossa covers don't sound as diverse as it would be expected. This is its main drawback in relation to the first volume of Bossa N'Stones. Still, anyone who has enjoyed 2005's Bossa N'Stones will probably like this collection as well. Finally, as a big Rolling Stones fan, I can assure fellow fans that this sounds to be the result of quality work done with respect to the original artist and is in no way a sacrilege of the Stones.

A great CD!!!!!5
A great follow up, with an up-graded sound, this is a must have CD.

The fun continues5
Just as much fun as the first release. Lots of fun to listen to!
