The 351MVCF is the first two-stage carbon fiber video tripod from Manfrotto, equipped with a 75mm half bowl, which combines a twin leg design for the first stage and a single leg design for the second stage of the tripod, all completed with double spiked feet. Legs have two angle adjustments--if they have to be adjusted at any angle above 180 degrees, the tripod needs to be equipped with a mid level spreader (350SPRB). These technical solutions offer a tripod with unrivaled torsion rigidity and substantial weight saving comparied with other competitors. All above listed features plus the use of composite materials like aluminum, magnesium, carbon fiber, and reinforced nylon plastic has generated the most innovative support solution for DV, HDV, MiniDV, and compact ENG cameras.
The 516 is specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders used by documentary and industrial videographers. The 516 head is very compact and light but can support cameras up to 22 pounds. The 516 is a cost effective high performance head equipped with fluid cartridges that provide continuous adjustable drag control. This system gives quite a wide range of friction control down to virtual zero drag and operates on both pan and tilt axes. Other important features of the head are: separate tilt and pan locking mechanism; a fixed counter balance spring of 16.5 pound load capacity at a center of gravity of 125mm; two telescopic pan handles; and a bubble level. The head has been designed so it can be mounted on a flat base tripod with a 3/8- inch female thread attachment or by attaching the ART 500BALL to the head base, allowing it to fit a 100mm bowl.
The 3284 Half Ball is for leveling video heads on tripods with 75mm bowl. Adapts flat-base video heads for tripods with 75mm bowl.
