This Professional Tripod System consists of the 3193 video tripod, the 526 pro video head, and a padded carry case. The kit offers a tripod includes a versatile base-level spreader, which has telescopic "ratchet" braces that click into place in each of the preset positions for faster deployment. The system compactly folds down to a smaller size due to its three leg sections.

The new 526 Pro Video head directly addresses the heavy-duty, high-end ENG and EFP video market by offering a feature-packed fluid video head that borrows all the combined benefits of our 500 series heads with the ability to support top weight loads of 35 pounds.

The 526 features a replaceable and removable pan arm rosette so if any damage occurs to the side castings, only a small part needs to be replaced; large rubber-padded knobs for better grip and all the controls (tilt and pan lock, tilt drag) are located on the left side so they can be easily found.

The 526 offers our most precise fluid drag system comprised of three step settings for low, medium, and high drag levels (numbered 1, 2, and 3), plus the additional no-drag setting (number 0) for such occasions as snap-pans/tilts. Counterbalance is achieved through an adjustable spring for camera weights between 18 and 33 pounds. The built-in 100mm half-ball adapts to a number of our tripods with a 100mm receiver, allowing the quick leveling of the camera with the aid of the bright leveling bubble. The 526 comes with one pan arm and the long 357PLV plate.

The kit also includes tripod shoes and a soft padded, tapered carry case. Specifically designed for the latest DV camcorders used by documentary and industrial videographers.

Using it on a RED digital cinema camera
This is great value for money. I got it to use temporarily until I saved up for a so-called "real" fluid head (costing 5 times as much) to use on my RED. Just needed something to put it on in the meantime.

But after using it, I don't feel the need to upgrade at all. It's rock solid, very fluid movement and doesn't feel like a boat anchor!

I haven't had the chance to use the product yet, but I must relate my experience with service. The head came with a broken-off knob. I called the company. Long story short- I sent the product back on a Monday, it was repaired and received by the following Friday. Don't find service like that too often any more, and it's worth mentioning.
