Customer Reviews

Not recommended.1
I've been using this pad for about 10 months now and I must say I'm very dissappointed.
1) The pad gets sticky VERY easily. I have to clean the pad every 2-3 days because it gets sticky and creates friction.(Not a good thing for gamers)
2) The paint on the metalic part(where my palm touches) started coming off after 2-3 months of usage.
3) The place where paint came off is now collecting rust. Whenever I use the pad for decent amount of time, I'd get rust on my hands.

I'm tossing it out as soon as my new pad arrives.

Quick movements don't register at all!1
I previously owned another Allsop mousepad that worked pretty well for about a year until it started curling up at the sides. This time I told myself I would buy a sturdy one that couldn't possibly curl or warp. This pad seemed like the best choice. It is indeed heavy and sturdy and I thought it would be exactly what I was looking for...untill I started actually using it. The second that I started using the pad I noticed that something was wrong. To make a long story short, if you plan to move your mouse very slowly at all times you will never have a problem. But if you try to move it quickly, THERE'S BARELY ANY RESPONSE AT ALL!

I couldn't believe it. I mean when I would move the mouse from side to side really fast, the pointer wouldn't move at all. At first I thought the mouse was broken, but then I did the same quick movements on my bed and it worked perfectly as it should, then I actually grabbed the old curly Allsop mouse pad and did the same quick movements and they registered fine on there as well. I'm guessing perhaps the design on this pad keeps it from recognizing quick movements? Well I'm throwing this in the closet and never using it again. I can't believe nobody else has had this problem.

it doesn't slip!4
Good:
nice large surface
works well with our optical mouse for gaming
looks really good on our desk
and the biggest improvement for us... it is heavy and has a soft rubber bottom that doesn't sli

Bad:
one MINOR annoyance... the metal trim on the lower part is about 1 1/2 in wide and in our basement in the winter is pretty cold on the wrist. OK, I admit that is pretty minor, but I find myself pulling my sleeve down onto the heel of my hand to keep it warm. We'll probably appreciate this "feature" in the heat of summer!
