Customer Reviews
This is a treasure.
I saw the Gee's Bend Quilt exhibit at our city's art museum and it was a memorable one. I am a quilter but I truly don't believe you have to be a quilter to appreciate the beauty of these quilts as well as the women who lovingly stitched each one. During the exhibit this DVD ran on a monitor and I was captivated by it so I purchased it. Periodically I view it because each time it stirs a lot of emotion within me. I laugh with these women and I marvel at their strength as well as their spirit. This is a lovely, lovely, very well produced account of the women of Gee's Bend, their friendships and their relationship with quilting.
The Quilts of Gee's Bend
I am so glad that I ordered the Quilts of Gee's Bend DVD. It exceeded my expectations, and as a teacher, I was able to incorporate the DVD in African American Literature class. Also, the company offered upgraded shipping free of charge.
