Product Description

The Parents Magazine Battat Busy Zoo activity cube is a fun-filled learning experience. The activities are simple enough for one-year-olds to understand and large enough for them to manipulate with ease. On top, they can move animals along tracks or twirl wooden shapes along looping wire. Choices around the four sides include rotating picture blocks until they form a picture of a variety of animals; turning any one of interconnecting gears to make them all spin; opening and closing a door and window. For the future, reversible alphabet blocks show a picture and its initial letter on one side, and the upper and lower case letter on the reverse. The various finger and hand manipulations will develop the muscles later used in learning to write.

Customer Reviews

great toy, but shoddy craftsmanship4
Our 10 month old daughter loves this toy, she's been playikng with it since we got it at 9 months. My only complaint is that the paint is peeling off in some areas--one area was clearly damaged and then repainted, without any sanding or proper treatment. So I have to keep a close eye to make sure she's not getting any in her mouth--I will probably try to repaint those areas myself.

Great toy!5
This toy has been great for our 7 month old. Not only does it give her all sorts of knobs, doors, and balls to play around with, but it also has helped her to gain her balance, since she often plays with it while standing next to it.

Great product, but watch those fingers!4
This is a really fun product for my son; the only problem I have with it is the placement of the alphabet squares on the one side. These are placed so that if a little finger pushes in far enough on the top or bottom at the "unlucky" angle, then pulls back, the squares can actually trap the finger and smash it a bit. I only had to help my son get his finger out once, but I tried it after that, and it trapped my finger just as easily. Other than that, again, it's a really fun kid-occupying toy.
