The Views of Serenity DVD is filled with seven looping movies that will relax the mind, body and soul. This collection is a must have for the overly stressed whether you've just gone through difficult times, had a tough day at work, just sent the kids to school or just need a moment to yourself. There are seven different types of environments for any mood for the viewer to lose themselves in while listening to either the sound of nature or your choice of different tracks of music. Each scene is digitally mastered and color enhanced to allow maximum enjoyment.

Beach Birds: shows a calm, warm and relaxing day at the beach as the seagulls come to gather and socialize. Watch the birds interact with one another as they sit back and enjoy the company of each other while the ocean waters endlessly brush against the wet sand.

Blue Waters: is the playful vacation day where you can just take your shoes and socks off and relax with a nice warm breeze.

Colder Days: allows the viewer to snuggle in a nice comfortable spot and relax to a nice drink while watching the water glide over the rocks as seagulls fly by in this cool early morning day.

Rocky Shores: allows the viewer to stand on top of the rocky shore overlooking all of the ocean in the horizon. The sun is setting in the late afternoon as the waves leave trails of white foamy designs dancing against the sand.

Little Waterfall: is the perfect place to have a picnic on a nice, warm and sunny day. The viewer gets to see up close and personally a small stream of water that trails down and is separated by a small rock that slightly sticks out from the edge. You can sit back and almost feel the warm breeze against your face as the sounds of the Little Waterfall continually stimulate your senses.

Summer Springs: is the perfect example of a nice summer day out on a nature hike. We see an area where can sit on the rocks and relax while you stick your feet into the little pool of water. Here the sounds of various animals are heard from time to time as the slight sound of water can be heard faintly in the background.

Green Valleys: is the perfect view at looking down into the nice green valley. Sounds of birds are heard chirping away in perfect harmony at another in this very tranquil scene that lets you stop and take a breath to relax.

Beautiful scenery, relaxing music - It works for me!
I didn't have any specific expectations in the DVD. The pictures looked pretty, the price was good and so far I had no "fireplace-DVD" so I gave it a try.
I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The cover is nicely designed and the DVD has a stylish shore image printed onto it. The same style is continued in the DVD menus which are easy to use and again pretty to look at. By now I have seen all of the nature scenes (seven) on this DVD and found that they are as promised: relaxing and thanks to their variety fitting all kinds of different moods. Having seen the trailer I already knew I would get a variety of ocean views, a water fall and some green forest like scenes. What the trailer did not tell was how beautiful they look on a TV-sized screen. I love the scenery and the colors! It's also great that there is a choice between the nature sounds and two different music tracks per scene. It jumps up the variety even more. The music itself consists mainly of relaxed piano/violin pieces with catchy little melodies that I don't grow tired of even if they run over a longer period of time like dinner.
For a little break between family and job I used to stand in the kitchen with a coffee in hand and the remaining to-do-list in my head. Now I sit down, turn on the DVD player and enjoy. I really look forward to these timeouts and they put me in a better mood which has already been noticed by my family. During meals the DVD sets a nice atmosphere that my family enjoys very much. Even my pets respond to it. Their favorite is the waterfall with its original sounds. They gather around the TV and listen intently. Quite funny to watch for the rest of us.

Summary: I would recommend this DVD to everyone looking for a relaxation, nature or "fireplace" DVD. It makes a great present for practically anyone and any occasion. A great buy for the price.

Wonderfully Relaxing
I really enjoyed the fact that there were several different views to choose from. My 2 favorites are the fisheye one (Rocky Shores?) and the cold day one. Although the nature sounds are pretty cool I usually like to listen to them with the soft music track. The nature sounds are a bit too relaxing so I might watch that if I'm in bed getting ready to go to bed. Otherwise a great collection of views and nice relaxing music to kick back and unwind too.

I meditate and practice yoga. I must say that it has been a joyful experience using the Views of Serenity while meditating or practicing yoga. The beautiful scenery the sound of nature and the wonderful choice in classical music brings peace and joy to my practice. I truly enjoy this DVD so if you're looking for a great Christmas gift or a gift at anytime do not hesitate to buy it. I give it **********
