Customer Reviews
Glorious
This DVD shows why Luciano Pavarotti is the greatest tenor of the 20th century. After I picked my jaw off the floor, I watched it for a second time. This is Pavarotti at his best. The most beautiful renditions of "Ave Maria" and "Pieta, Signore" I have ever heard. The price of the DVD is worth it for these 2 songs alone. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. BUY IT - and soar with the Angels!
Disappointed by Video quality
The music is spectacular, but the video is very bad. Almost looks like a cheap transfer from an old video camera; at times the picture is very grainy and the sound and Pavarotti's lips are not always in sync. If this wasn't such a special concert I would return for a refund.
Terrible Sound!
Do not buy this DVD--you will only be disappointed. The sound is terrible; it almost makes one cringe. There is a lot of distortion. It is such a shame, because this concert was one of a kind, in a magnificent setting. I returned the DVD and a duplicate that I had purchased for someone else as a Christmas gift. Trust me; the DVD shouldn't even be for sale.
