Product Description

Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek: The Next Generation hosts as the "time traveler," exploring the rich and fascinating background of the Old and New Testaments. "You are there," as he reveals the lives of the "mad" King Herod and the courageous John the Baptist. He shows how the glorious ministry of Jesus Christ is related to the amazing 1947 discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Here is a program especially geared for teens and young adults. A leader's guide in PDF is included on the DVD.

Time Travel brings you back into the world of the Bible and opens up the Scriptures for you in a vivid and unforgettable way.

Good CD for an overview of Bible5
This is a wonderful CD on the bible through the ages. A timeline approach with humor and wonderful old/current places shown to understand how the scriptures were put together. And more important- How it relates to you now.
Used it with a large group of adults and 6th graders in a religous class. Both got the messages and it held their interest. Defenitely one you can use with teens and adults. Beautiful pictuers.

Good introduction for Scripture Study 5
I think this video was made for high-school students and young adults, but I use it with older adults in a Scripture Study setting, and they enjoy it too. Jonathan Frakes makes a familiar and friendly tour guide through the geographical areas where the stories of the Bible took place, at least to the best of what biblical scholasticism and archeological evidence have been able to provide. The presentation has built-in stopping points about every 20 minutes so a group can pause to react to what they just watched or ask questions. My copy of the DVD did not come with group discussion questions but I wish it had. This DVD is a good overview to establish the settings of both Hebrew and Christian scriptures. It was produced by a Lutheran organization, but is a valuable resource for my Roman Catholic group.

Time Travel Through the Bible.5
Great overview mixing archeological and factual materials with current issues. Super value and a painless way to learn.
