New to Ballroom?
I definitely recommend this series. It is very easy to understand and to follow this instruction. Make sure that you begin with the Beginners' level Ballroom Dancing for Beginners. Our entire family has enjoyed learning ballroom using this series...even our 13 year old son! (We told him how girls love it when a guy really knows how to dance.) The entire series covers the following 6 dances: Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, and East Coast Swing. Each DVD gives you about 3 steps for each dance, increasing in difficulty as you move through the series. The Beginners' level also includes some instruction on fundamentals. I would also recommend the Latin Series; it has the Tango included in it as well but there are additional steps that are not in this series. Latin Dancing for Beginners.

Not my Pace
My husband and I had taken private dance instruction and were looking to learn some new figures, so we are not complete beginners. The dancer's form on the DVD is very good, and the steps taught are useful. However, I felt that the instruction was too fast paced. You continually have to stop the DVD to learn the steps, rather than having the instruction repeated a number of times. I ordered an intermediate swing dance DVD from a different series and found the instructional pace much better.

Ballroom Dancing
If you want to learn ballroom dancing this has great instructions. There are other exercise DVDs for ballroom moves, but this is great to learn with your partner.
