Built for the toughest off-highway navigation, the GlobalMap Baja 540C color GPS from Lowrance delivers precision and durability even on the most bone-jarring of routes. This system delivers 12-parallel channel GPS and WAAS reception for precision location accuracy, via the rugged external Baja LGC receiver/antenna module. For superb viewing and mapping detail even in bright sunlight, the Baja 540C features a five-inch diagonal, 480 x 480, 256-color TFT LCD display, supported by adjustable screen and keypad backlighting for navigating at night or in low light. It also delivers a weather- and dust-proof MMC/SD memory card slot accepts a wide variety of affordable Lowrance high-detail mapping options with plug-and-play ease, including the new FreedomMaps USA EX Topo mapcards with a choice of five regional coverage areas, (now including Alaska).

To help save you time, the 540C stores up to 1,000 waypoints, 1,000 event markers, 100 routes (up to 100 waypoints per route), and up to 100 savable plot trails with up to 10,000 points in any trail. There are also 40 map display ranges, from .02 to 4,000 miles, and 42 different graphic icons that you can use to mark key spots. Lowrance Baja 540c
This is a great GPS. I've been using a Garmin Etrex, which I like but it's a little too small for a vehilce. I bought the Lowrance Baja 540c and mounted it in my Jeep. It is very easy to operate. The screen is great and is easy to see in the day with the bright sun. Get the Map create 7 or the freedom maps and the information is awesome. Find trails you didn't know was there and landmarks and other points of interest.
