Amazon.com Product Description
The Stanley 18-Inch Bailey Parallel Bar Clamp has a unique jaw stop that keeps the bar parallel to your work surface. Designed to gently but firmly behave like a third hand, this heavy- duty clamp boasts plastic-covered jaws and an oversized jaw face that distributes pressure evenly over a large area -- so it won't damage delicate work surfaces or sensitive finishes.

This hardy clamp boasts reinforced nylon and steel construction for strength and durability. Learn more about Stanley clamps and vices.
Its bi-material, tri-lobular handle is easy on your hands and provides more torque for tough projects, and the rugged "I" beam bar resists twisting and bending, for years of reliable service. It even converts quickly and easily from a clamp to a spreader without the use of tools, so you know it'll make your time in the workshop easier. This device has a clamp size of 3-3/4 inches, and an overall length of 18 inches.

About Stanley Bailey Clamps
Stanley's Bailey line of tools is designed with the woodworker in mind, with innovative solutions for making projects turn out great. A good clamp is easy to tighten and adjust, it holds securely, and it won't mar the surface it's clamped to. The Bailey line of clamps are designed to do precisely these things, with the added benefit of reinforced nylon and steel construction on most products that ensure strength and durability.

The Stanley Story
The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut; was founded in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley. A few years later, in 1857, Frederick’s cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with The Stanley Works and would go on to become it’s famous Hand Tools Division. Over the years, The Stanley Works has produced some of the most innovative and useful tools ever made. Among these tools are the Bailey Plane, the Surform shaper, the PowerLock tape rule and most recently the FatMax line of products. Today, more than ever, Stanley continues to be an industry leader in tool innovation. In 2001, Stanley introduced more than 100 new products, bringing to 400 the number of new products introduced in the past four years. As a direct result of Stanley’s commitment to excellence, Stanley was awarded the Prestigious Golden Hammer Award, presented for New Product Innovation in both 2000 and 2001.

Customer Reviews

Better than Besseys IMO5
These are better than Besseys K-Body IMO. Yep you heard right these Stanley's are better than my K-Bodies. The only thing I give the Besseys over these is that they weigh a little less other than that I like the Stanleys better.
In my shop full of K-Bodies I reach for these first.

Great clamp better then higher priced ones...5
This clamp is great. The handle and body are very strong. It also weighs more then other clamps like this due to the extra thick shaft.

But the price is to high. big lots sells the 18" and smaller for $10 and 24" and larger for $15
