Nature's Fury
A good combination of climate disaster movies - one by ice and one by fire. Both movies include the ignored lone voice of reason until the disasters hit. "The Day After Tomorrow" also shows the determination of a father to rescue his son from death by disaster. My favorite line from Dennis Quaid when talking to his son before the harshest weather occurs is "I will come for you!" "Volcano" has that spark of intensity when you're not certain whether or not the lava will win or lose.
