2007 debut album from Italian opera tenor Vittorio Grigolo who, having performed on the Opera circuit for half of his life, has the background to close the divide between the worlds of Pop and Opera ('Popera'?) The album sees Grigolo reinterpret contemporary Pop and Rock songs into his own unique style, including renditions of Daniel Bedingfield's 'If You're Not The One' and Keane's 'Bedshaped'. Vittorio Grigolo
Vittorio Grigolo has an amazing , gentle, caressing, powerful voice.
Just listen to In the Hands of Love and you will fall in love with his voice. I love Her Name Is Querida, but then, I love all the songs in this cd.

A bit of a labelling problem, but the voice is magnificent
VITTORIO WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A NEW ALBUM OUT IN APRIL OF '09. PERHAPS IT WAS JUST RELEASED IN EUROPE? I WAIT IN GREAT ANTICIPATION FOR ANYTHING NEW FROM THIS AMAZING ARTIST. ANYONE WITH INFORMAITON - PLEASE SHARE!

I bought this particular Vittorio CD to get the theme song from "Titanic". Unfortunately, the album lists "Maria", which is exactly what the other Vittorio album has listed. I learned after listening to this CD, that it does have the theme from the Titanic, but it still lists "Maria" as the 8th song, even though "Maria" isn't on this album. The album with the square insignia in the top right hand corner will tell you which song is number 8 - "Our Hearts Will Go On". If the album you buy doesn't have that insignia, it definitely will have "Maria" on it.
So there it is. A flaw in the printing of the CD jacket, but if you can figure out what I explained, you can get either version or both. I love this man's voice so much, I have both albums and am buying them for friends.
I live in hopes a new album will appear and record shops will carry it so this man will garner the credit he so richly deserves. The only problem with this album is that every single song is breathtaking and I dare you to pick a favorite.
I also wish they would put out a DVD of the concert he did in Italy of the songs on this album. Vittorio is on the precipice of amazing fame and critical raves, but he did this one album and back to the opera. If I listen to this album one more time, I'll be singing Italian as fluently as he does! Where the heck is David Foster? We need him to find Vittorio and do for him what he did for Andrea Boccelli, who unfortunately has less than HALF the voice Vittorio has.
Vittorio is the truest, most beautiful tenor voice I have heard since Domingo. Unfortunately, it appears he's so busy performing opera in Europe, he hasn't time for crossover albums. It would be nice if they would at least release albums of his operas. Better yet - do another crossover album for your fans, Vittorio!

please note that the album titled VITTORIO is essentially the same album as IN THE HANDS OF LOVE. There is a difference of two songs.

PLEASE DON'T THINK - AS I DID- THAT THESE ARE ESSENTIALLY TWO DIFFERENT ALBUMS! tHEY ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
