Mark Nelson is a man of many talents, not the least of which is his beautiful slack key guitar playing. His timing and phrasing are excellent and you can tell the mele are played with much aloha and respect for the tradition. When slack key is played from the heart, it can touch the depths of your soul. Mahalo, Mark, for sharing this beautiful music with the world.

slack key songs
This is a lot of music for the money. I'm a slack key addict, but if you like guitar music (ie, classical) at least go into Amazon and listen to some samples. If you play the guitar and you like it, consider buying the matching book of sheet music and learn to play some of it. It's in tab if you don't read guitar music. (Or even if you do and you're lazy like me). This musical form almost died out, but fortunatly has found new life. Check out anything on Amazon from Dancing Cat records.
