Average customer review:Product Description
Bogen's 190XDB tripod is based on a redesign of the 3001 tripod resulting in a lighter, slightly more compact tripod. Leg angle presets increase the tripod's stability in bad weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Rubber feet provide solid footing on slippery surfaces

Amazon.com Product Description
The Manfrotto 190XDB three-section tripod is stable, flexible, and easy to use, making it a great choice for amateur and professional photographers alike. The tripod is distinguished by its redesigned aluminum frame, which is lighter than previous incarnations and slightly more compact. As a result, it's more convenient to bring this tripod along on shoots without weighing yourself down. Plus, the ergonomics of the leg-angle release mechanism and the quick-action leg locks have also been greatly improved, making it a breeze to open, position, and close the tripod in just a few seconds. The tension of the locking mechanism is even user-adjustable, so you can find the right tension for your comfort level. And should you need to balance the tripod on an uneven surface, you can set each of the legs to a different spread angle over the tripod's center of gravity--a must for nature shots on outdoor terrain.

GREAT TRIPOD!!
I can't recommend this tripod enough. I shoot with a CANON REBEL XT and use a 300mm lens, as well as a heavier 200-500mm lens...this is a very sturdy tripod, and also extremely versitile.
THe legs can be adjusted to so many angles, and it sits nice and tight.
I highly recommend this tripod for anyone who needs something sturdy and easily portabe...(it folds up pretty nice, too)
Should have spent a little more.
Wish I would have paid more attention and seen that it has screw extenders instead of the clip kind. Takes to long to set up. Spend an extra 50 bucks and save yourself alot of time.
Excellent pod for serious amateurs or certain pro uses
PRO: VERY sturdy tripod with a huge amount of flexibility in configuration. I use this with a ball and socket type head and am able to put my camera wherever I want at any angle. The head and quick release plate are same manufacturer and are equally sturdy. I use a very weighty 18-200mm lens with my Nikon, and would normally worry that about the quick release plate coming loose, but Bogen's are very secure. I have no worries. Very very good tripod in this price bracket.... but
CON: With sturdy comes heavy. This will weigh more than you expect. Although it is excellent in its price bracket, if you have a little more to spend and plan to carry your tripod around a lot, I'd suggest you consider one of the carbon fiber tripods from this same manufacturer.
