Product Description

Mexican music is always interesting but takes a little more attention and recognition when talking about non known music but extraordinary indeed. This discovery of the Mexican 18th and 19th centuries euro-influence music, enriches the history of Latin American art and it's own background. Jordi Morató traveled to Mexico City to research together with the CENIDIM (which is the Mexican music research office) and built up this extraordinary CD document.

A native of Barcelona Spain, Jordi Morató received his musical training in Sevilla from Pedro Esqueta, Ana María Leal and Jaime Gal. Living today in Italy, he has held a professorship at Rome School of Music since 1988, and since 1981 has served as University Guitar Player at the University of Florence. International recognition was established in 1977 when he won the Premio de la Guitarra Barroca, and has grown through his recording career with over eight recordings. Jordi Morató performs frequently in major international halls and concert festivals. He conducts master classes both in interpretation of early guitar repertoire and in interpreting the guitar music of modern Spain. --Music Studio - Classical

What a Surprise!5
What a surprise and bargain this CD, most of the compositions seem to be late 19th C.(euro influence-no liner notes though), highly reccomend it.
