Product Description

check it out: the second colorway of the Dalek Edition Supersampler has dropped. This one is done in a dark forest green, and has a smooth rubber-coated surface. In person, it is absolutely gorgeous. Lomo has a fresh stock of them, but they're selling fast. If you need a little Dalek in your life, then I'd get on it sooner rather than later! As with the original, it comes in a beautiful custom box and includes the awesome 168 page "URBANIZE!" book.Back in the winter of 2003, Lomo met a Brooklyn gentleman who goes by the name of Dalek. As part of a gallery project entitled Dream So Much, Lomo lent him a white Colorsplash camera to customize as he pleased. Two weeks later, Lomo was awestruck to see the results! The plain camera had been transformed into a jazzy black and white number that used dozens of black typeset stickers to create a half-camo, half jumbled letters pattern with one crazy, staring eye smack in the middle of it. Dalek Super Sampler.4
Very cool, fun piece. In the true spirit of Lomographic style, this camera is what you might call lo-fi retro futuristic. It's not super hi-tech, heavy duty, do all/be all. It was not meant to be. This camera is very unique, it shoots a slice of consecutive images on to 135 film. The slices are in a sequence based on one of two speeds. The photos are of a quality you would expect from a plastic camera. This camera will no doubt spur you to experiment. The rubberized coating adds a better feel to this version and the urban graphics make it look cool too. Is it the only camera you'll want to carry? No, but it sure is great to have along with the rest of your camera arsenal (lo-fi retro futuristic or not).
Try something different, Very different. I think you'll love it, I do.
