Excellent miniature game!
The War At Sea miniature game by Avalon Hill (Hasbro) is a fun table-top miniature game. In my experience games are usually quick, as in less than 30 minutes each, but involve strategy and some luck. If you are new to the series first pick up a Starter Set of the series since it comes with dice, rules, maps, and 9 miniatures. You might need 1-2 of these depending on how big of maps you want to make. Next pick up a few boosters. Five ships come to a pack.

The game itself is pretty fun with planes and ships and subs making up your fleet. You maneuver into range of your opponent and then roll dice to determine hits. An added bonus is that each ship is historically modeled and painted, and there is a mini history lesson on the back of its card that explains its role in WW2. There is an expansion out now called Task Force, but I have yet to try it. If you are a navy or history buff, or just enjoy miniature games, you will most likely enjoy this!
