Simple to install - superior design
The features and function of this door lock are far superior to any other similar door locks that I have seen or used. The installation was no more difficult than installing a plain door knob. Getting the battery wire to position like they show in the diagram was about the trickiest part to the whole install.

The unit is solid, nothing cheap looking or feeling about it. You can tell by its weight when you lift it that it is solid and the exterior components feel firm and durable, not flimsy and simply decorative. The programming can be a little tricky the first time you do it but we found it to be simple and intuitive after the first attempt.

This unit is well designed and built. It is superior to all others that I have seen in this same price range. I can't think of a single thing that I would change to improve it.

Would I buy another? Definitely.

Love it....
Bought this at the Home Depot and read the instructions over and over then went to the website and watched all the videos. Installed it the next morning and it took only twenty minutes, only needed a Philips screwdriver. The tricky part is figuring out the wiring connection as the instructions could be a little better in that area. The programing of user codes is easy if you follow the instructions exactly, if not you get a red light. Its a very nice looking unit and mine works perfectly. You can have nineteen different user codes. It comes with a manufactures six digit master code that you need to use before you can make any changes and two four digit user codes. You can change any of those codes if you want. I left the six digit master code intact but removed the two manufactures four digit codes and put in one of my own and one for the wife and two for our grown married daughter and son. The unit has a lever on the inside that can be turned so that the door is never locked, but in the other position the door locks every time it is closed and only your code can unlock it. The keypad has ten numbers and a oval button above those numbers that you press to light up the keypad at night. The number buttons feel very sturdy and claim not to wear so as people could guess your code from looking at worn buttons. This is not a cheap item but I can see and feel the quality of workmanship that went into this door lock, it is waterproof and can withstand pressure washing according to the manufacture. The unit will warn you of a low battery and also warn you of an extremely low battery, giving you time to change the nine volt battery, you wont loose your codes during a battery change. If the battery ever dies there is a key way underneath the keypad that allows you to unlock the unit and two keys are included. To change the battery you only need to remove two screws and remove the back to get access to the battery, very easy. All in all I am very happy that I never have to worry about getting locked out of the house again. Just put in a four digit code that you can easily remember and throw away those keys and all those worries.

Perfect
I love it! The wife loves it! I got two of these. All I carry is the car key now, till I get a new car that does not need a key. Absolutely perfect! Looks great.
