Album Description
The ''Côstes'' brand is forever linked with the ultimate in quality and is renowned with patrons as the home of luxury in Paris. After all, the overriding theme is ''all things in excess.'' This is French DJ/Artist Stéphane Pompougnac’s tenth definitive set of the best tracks heard at France’s premiere club, bar & cafe and serves as a ''tastemaker'' (read: trendsetting) CD for the rest of the world. His penchant for choosing the very best music for this series burns bright as he incorporates tracks on this outing from de-Phazz, Laid Back, Goloka, Louie Austen, Orsten, $olal, Angus & Julie Stone, Peder (ft. Anne Trolle), DJ Disse, Deep Dive Corp., Elijah (ft Neve), Pompougnac himself with good pal Charles Schillings, all topped off with Dutchman Benny Sings. Feel free to luxuriate with the sounds and splendor of the most relaxing place in Paris with the upper crust.

Customer Reviews

Sadly the worst yet!2
I really expected a lot more from Stephane. This is his worst CD to date. Most of the tracks on this CD are repetitious in sound, tone, and beat. BORING! This is definitely nothing to write home about! I was hoping to discover some new artists but all this CD did was to help me despise previous artists that I loved. Case in point Louie Austen, his song Glamour Girl was so painful to listen to that I skipped the track, I just couldn't take it. Dephazz was mediocre at best, and Zimpala, Stephane picked their worst song as well. What happened!

AWWWWWFUUUUUUUL!1
I am in total agreement with "Lounge Sound" from FL....this is absolutely, positively the WORST Hotel Costes volume to date. Boring, repetitive, almost put me to sleep. I was completely underwhelmed at the first listen, but decided to give it another try last night.... and was even more disappointed the second time around. There simply aren't any stand-out tracks on this one; each song sounds like the next. The other Hotel Costes CDs might be hit or miss BUT there are at least a minimum of 2-3 solid tracks on each. Costes 10 has nothing to offer; save your $$ and pass on this one.

Not what was expected ...3
I have been a BIG fan of Stephan Pompougnac since Hotel Costes n°1. I have loved and worshiped each of following cds he has put in the market. Except this one. I think it's boaring. The problem with HOTEL COSTES Vol.10, is that it lacks that very specific and continuos sultry sexiness that makes the first 9 volumes so exciting and unique. There are a couple of good songs though. The first one is perfect in my opinion. Third song is fun too. Number 7 and 11 are OK. If you collect the series you should buy it anyway, but it will probably dissapoint you a bit. If you don't collect the series, buy any of the 9 other volumes instead. I particularly love Vol.1, 5, 7, and 8.
