Product Description

The NiteTime Plus provides automated, timed control of lights and small appliances. The NiteTime Plus plugs into a wall outlet and connects to a standard household lamp or small appliance. The low profile design fits behind furniture and offers a discreet design to fit any room decor. Eight pre-programed settings allow for instant one-time setup. Programs include basic On and Off timed settings triggered by lighting conditions, as well as randomly timed modes for creating a lived-in appearance while you are away from home. A built-in photocell automatically adjusts the timer to Daylight Savings Time changes so no resetting is required even after power outages. The NiteTime Plus also includes a photosensitivity setting for use in rooms with low or high ambient lighting. The convenient Override button allows temporary override of programing for use of lamp or small appliance.

Customer Reviews

Hunter 450403
I had high hopes for this product. I thought it would turn a light on in my living room before I returned home from work each evening. It turned it on in the day time, turned it off in the evening, turned on during the late evening and would not shut off after its alloted time. Gave up and unplugged it.

A waste of time and energy1
I'm pretty handy and an engineer, yet this timer has me totally confused. It has my husband (another engineer) equally flummoxed. I've followed the instructions in several locations several times with each of two timers and no luck getting these to function the way described by the manufacturer. We ended up not using them for our vacation. "Easy Set" is a total misnomer.

Too complicated...2
These timers have multiple settings all based on the photosensitive cell - basically, you set it to stay on a certain number of hours after dusk or can choose a random setting. Unlike other photosensitive timers I've used, this needs to have the sensitivity adjusted, so if you want the light to turn on when it's dark out, then you have to wait until the room is dark/at dusk to set it up. I suppose this gives you more flexibility - maybe you want the light to turn on if it's overcast, but again, to adjust to that sensitivity, you have to do it during an overcast period. I was expecting something I could just plug in, set at random and have the light turn on/off at dusk/when conditions were dark. This was way too complicated for me.
