Product Description

The most memorable character from Flavor of Love is leaving the spitfests, catfights and heartbreaks behind. New York is moving on and still looking for love. But this time, she's standing on the other side of the clock, 'cause VH1 and the producers of Flavor of Love have given the sassy siren her own show, her own mansion and 20 guys to choose from. But she's not going it alone. New York and her mom, Sister Patterson, put these men through the paces - testing them on everything from physical prowess, to "daddying" skills, to earning potential and more. In the end, the man with the most love for New York could just walk away with her heart.

No one loves New York as much as Tiffany Pollard, the trash-talking Flavor of Love contestant who made for such good TV that she not only appeared on two seasons of that reality dating show, but also won her own VH1 series--I Love New York. Nicknamed "New York" by Flavor Flav--the would-be Lothario who had a difficult time remembering the female contestants' actual first names--Pollard sticks with that sassy moniker as she plays the starring role and selects from 20 men who are vying for her attention and love. The fact that Season Two of the series premiered on VH1 in October 2007 (shortly after the release of this DVD set) proves that love has been short-lived and elusive for New York. But really--when have these dating shows ever been more about love than getting your 15 minutes of fame--or infamy? I Love New York is as trashy as the role Pollard plays. Unlike ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, which at least goes through the motions of picking suitable contenders, VH1 has stacked the deck against New York (and, let's face it, the men). Their nicknames (Token, Trendz, White Boy) are more interesting than they are. And while New York proclaims to be shocked that some of them are on the show for other reasons than to win her over, the audience isn't. Of course these wannabe actors-models-singers are hoping the series is their springboard to fame. Why would anyone want New York? Or at least the New York that Pollard presents? Besides being a high maintenance super diva with little to offer, she also comes with an equally overbearing mother (who, to her credit, is hysterical in her assessment of the men). On the plus side, it is refreshing to watch New York dismiss her suitors with vigor and little remorse. Unlike other shows where there may be tears or a polite explanation as to why a potential lover has been rejected, I Love New York is succinct. There's little room for misinterpretation when Pollard says, "Get the f--- out of my house." Oh, snap! --Jae-Ha Kim

My shameful guilty pleasure5
I mean really, Tiffany "New York" is an absolutly horrible person. Not only does she look like utter trash (the fact that she can barely keep her eyes open due to all that eyeshadow is hilarious by the way), but well...she pretty much is trash. Despite her being a despicable human being with nothing to offer to men or the human race in general, I love this show. Mainly due to the fact that it makes me feel like a better person. Oh sure, I can be as bitter as can be (and how could one not be in a world where a person like "New York" gets their own reality show?) but at least I'm not a crazed, diva with an ego the size of Texas and no substance whatsoever.

A great Buy!!!5
I would highly recommend this DVD set to anyone who loves reality television. We all remember Tiffany "New York" Pollard as the self proclaimed "HBIC" of seasons 1 and 2 of "Flavor Of Love".She was rejected by Rapper Flavor Flav two times and this time she's determined to find love. This time around 20 men from all around the country have been selected by producers to come to New York's Los Angeles mansion to compete for her love and affection. At the end of this high rated VH1 series She will decide who has the most love for New York.

DVD 5/5:This set has all episodes along with the reunion special uncensored.

Just admit it- You know you love New York!!!5
I really do not understand why all the reviewers need to diss NY and then say, forgive me, but I do like this show/its a guilty pleasure. Dont be ashamed and dont apologize, this show is the greatest. It is thouroughly entertaining 100%...from NY's unique way of speaking (something she shares with Flav, which is a big reason why his show was also so successful), to Chance making appetizers at Che Cherie like he is rolling a blunt to Mr. Boston's voice to Heat's Backstreet Boy's cover ("Rock your left buttcheek"). I loved every minute of this series. Keep doin your thing, NY!! I love Ranch Dressing, too!!!!
