nice drive, great portability!
I've had this drive for a month or so now, and I use it back and forth between home (windows vista) and school (macintosh Leopard). I'm very happy with it overall. It offers a lot of storage at a very affordable price. The drive is also very convenient to use. It is so small that it fits easily in a bag or even a jacket pocket. Not having to worry about a separate power cord (it gets its power from the usb port) is also really nice. The drive is also very quiet. It has worked flawlessly so far. The only drawback that I see with this drive is the speed. It takes an awfully long time to transfer files between the drive and the computer that it is attached to. For this reason, when I need to use it for video I generally transfer the files to the main computer hard drive and work on it there, then transfer it back to this drive for storage. All in all though, this drive has exceeded my expectations.

Great Portable Hard Drive
The Iomega Portable Hard Drive, USB 2.0, 250GB, is a great little device that so far is dependable, easily transportable, and super-easy to use. I haven't used the software yet but I haven't felt I needed to. One attachment with the USB cable (no batteries needed) and my and others' computers show the drive as a file folder or a Removable Disc Drive from the Window's Computer section. All I have to do is drag and drop what I want to save. This is one of the few products that is way better than expected!

Great portable drive
I purchased this solely as storage for some of my movies and so far it has provided me with what i needed it for. I have an inexpensive Phillips DVD player with a USB port and after making sure that this drive is formatted at FAT32 (NTFS won't work with my DVD player), it reads and plays all my AVI movies. I also use it to play movies on the road in my laptop (via USB, of course) and don't have to pack DVDs. I have 86 movies in it so far at roughly 700-800MB per title so you see i have plenty of room.
