Creative Zen Leather Case - Thick and Practical
Creative's leather case for the new Creative Zen player is a good overall design that will appeal to many who have come to demand leather cases.

The size of this case is listed at 1X1X1, but it will feel a little bit thicker than 1 inches with your player inside. With the case closed, the player is tightly protected.

Inside, there are 2 slots for extra SD cards. The case pouch has a clear viewing window through which you can see and control your player. This pouch will not prevent dust or dirt from getting on your player so you will still have to clean it. Since the open window does not protect your screen, you will probably want to use a clear protector for extra protection. Creative really should have included a clear protective window here.

The magnetic lid is nice and secure when closed. When open it doubles as a kick stand for video viewing.

The main drawbacks to this case are the thickness and the natural play in the leather. That means the player can come loose if the case is open in the wrong situation, such as while viewing a video on a plane. Add to that the lack of screen protection when open.

If you must have leather, this may be the way to go. Otherwise, the acrylic and silicon options deserve consideration.

Well made, but will not function as a stand.
This item is well made of quality leather, but the only purpose that it will serve is for protection only. It does have the ability to be attached to a belt or similar item, but if you want it to stand up like the picture depicts - forget it!
The design is poor. When you try to use it as a stand it just falls down and lies flat. It also inhibits access to the controls.
Another issue of poor design are the two slots for SD cards. If you put
any cards in the slots they will scratch the screen when the case is closed.
The controls, (key pad) scratch very easily. After only 5 days of trying to be careful there are many small scratches.

Cheap and Junky
I would have given it one star - but I guess it gets two because it is *slightly* better than nothing. Feels like cheap thin plastic stretched over cardboard. And why does it have an annoying red trim (not really visible in the picture)? This is one of those things that if you had held it in your hand first, you never would have ordered it - especially for $25!
