Accepting one's own strengths and weaknesses and feeling comfortable with oneself is a difficult process for any teenager and Sabrina the teenage witch is no exception. In season three, Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart) finally earns her witches license, but finds out she can't actually use it until she discovers a hidden family secret. Thus begins a procession of distant relatives from the other realm who offer important clues to Sabrina's family's secret. Along the way Sabrina learns some important lessons about romance, laughing at oneself, self-confidence, the evils of gambling and the power of addiction, superficial versus inner beauty, and the importance of family and telling the truth. Sabrina's witch aunts Hilda (Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick) and their talking cat Salem (voiced by Nick Bakay) always offer their support and guidance in their own quirky, though sometimes questionable ways while Sabrina's best friend Valerie (Lindsay Sloane) and boyfriend Harvey (Nate Richert) provide the peer support Sabrina needs to mature and thrive in the mortal world. Add in Sabrina's always scheming school nemesis Libby (Jenna Leigh Green) and her vice-principal turned Aunt Zelda's suitor Mr. Kraft (Martin Mull) for 25 episodes of teenage fun, angst, humor, and drama. Sabrina's family secret is finally revealed in the final episode and it could just be life-changing for the whole family. Especially notable are the Halloween episode "Good Will Haunting" which is packed with guest artists including Gary Owens, Ruth Buzzi, David Madden, Alan Sues, Joanne Worley, Corbin Allred, and Tara Charendoff; the Christmas episode "Christmas Amnesia" in which Sabrina realizes just how much those seemingly silly Christmas traditions really mean to her; the final family reunion episode set in Hawaii, "Silent Movie" which is a parody of the old-time silent movies; and "Sabrina's Real World" which is a tongue-in-cheek salute to modern day reality programs. Great Season
Personally, I think that this is "Sabrina's" best season. Sabrina Spellman uses lots of magic as she tries to solve the family secret and get her official witches licenses. One of the best season's overall. Cross your fingers that the DVDs will show it in all it's glory. <3.

Unfortunetly CUT and Edited!
When I first read on the internet , that the sabrina DVDs would be edited, I never realised this as being a big problem. I hardly noticed anything in season two and in season one the 'a girl like you' song was missing, which was a bit crap to find out.

So anyway, after watching the edited versions of the first seasons , it didn't seem to me as too cut until I got season three. But season three has more problems then the previous seasons: Phantom Planet was credited on the dvd for an appearence that you could not see on this version. Before the band should have appeared, this version just fades to black and you get the Sabrina introduction. Then a lot of music gets replaced by simple instrumental songs that don't even seem to fit to what is happening. The halloween episode had a great moment in where the "monster mash song" was played. Also , this song was removed.

Apart from noticeble songs missing (and a few scenes) this dvd set is great and the show itself is huge fun to watch. If you know the show by buying the dvds , it might be new to you and you wont have to worry about anything. But fans that know the show from the original airings will definetly miss a few things and some people will dislike that more then I did.

Another thing that isn't that good about the dvd-set is, that there are no extras whatsoever. Not even animated dvd menus or a little commentary. If you love the show and are just happy of being able to watch it, you'll live with that too . ;)

Family Secret
I am a huge fan of this show. But maybe someone can help me...this season is about Sabrina's family secret, I can't remember how the season ends but wasn't there a made for TV movie that wraps up the season. "Sabrina Goes To Rome" will the DVD include the movie? There was also another movie I beleive after season 2 "Sabrina Down Under" will we be able own that as well? Either way this show is family friendly and very funny.
