works more often then it doesn't
This thing works OK. sometimes it is fine, other times it just annoys you.
it will find studs that aren't there and miss ones that are. I don't think this worked much better than their basic $10 one. It's definitely a help, but you still have to get a second opinion.

Very unreliable
I really wish i would have read the reviews before I bought this scanner. I spent a little more money thinking that it would be a better performing scanner and became very disappointed. Like other people have said it scans studs that are not there and then it misses the ones that are there. Now i am searching for a new one. I am doing my homework this time.

Frustrating
I've owned this stud finder for about 2 years and have yet to get acceptable results. It definitely is not reliable. It finds studs that are not there, and misses ones that are. Once in a while it will find what appears to be a stud, but scanning the second time, more often than not, will produce different results. This is especially true when there is an electric field present.

This is one of the biggest time wasters I have come across.
