One star for the features and 2stars for Elvira.
I was unable to watch Monstroid, due to the fact that the picture was unbearable.'Blue Sunshine on the other hand looked good visually and was okay to watch once with Elvira's help. The only bad thing(besides the double feature;LOL) was the fact that Elvira is only shown at the parts where the commercials would come in.Missing is where she would interupt during the movie from time to time with her comments and gestures.) I was a bit dissapointed that they left this out on the dvd.Causing me to leave a star out for this.Buy only if you have a thing for Elvira like I do,then it's worth spending [...] bucks.I found this dvd here on amazon for under 3 dollars plus shipping. If I can find the others for the same amount I'm getting those too.Otherwise not worth it,even if you love Elvira. If they didn't cut out some of her comments during ,these features would have been better.
Monstroid aka Monster obscure no more
Basically I got this because I have a guilty pleasure for the movie known as Monster / aka Monstroid
The Print is the same as the VHS at SP speed version. Only recommended to bad movie lovers that have giant monsters..
The monster design is pretty cool. John Carradine as a priest LOL. Ok this does have bad acting, what else can you ask for from an obscure low budget movie..It is basically a giant monster on the loose movie just show on a low budget, it is not as good as the 1950s giant B monster movies. If you like Giant Monsters, you might get into this movie.
The print, how I wish it was remastered, but at least it is as good as the tape, and worth replacing the VHS.
I have no interest in Blue Sunshine, so I didnt watch it. I know it is a movie about drugs, and those movies dont interest me, plus Blue Underground has the best DVD print for it. Why couldn't a Gamera movie be the other feature but oh well..
You can watch these with or without Elvira's commentary
Mostroid is now available on its own thank god
