I bought the GlobalTop HG-100 to serve as a stand-alone speedometer for an older car where the correct speedometer gear is no longer made. It is a great value, half the price of a gear adapter. It works perfectly, very accurate and stable reading with the 5Hz update rate. It is very portable so it can be moved to any vehicle for measuring speed or checking other speedometers.
