Customer Reviews
The In-Laws
Both versions are great and worth comparing. I remembered the first version with Alan Arkin & Peter Falk from years ago when I first enjoyed seeing that movie, and was equally impressed with the new version with Michael Douglas & Albert Brooks where the storyline has been brought up to modern day. David Suchet (from the Poirot series) is fantastic as the villain.
The original movie, the absolute best! The remake? Garbage.
My mother brought me to see the original movie when I was a kid! My God, I loved this movie. When it would come on HBO, I would watch it again and again. When they remade this movie, I gave it a chance, but itproved to be pure garbage. Why remake a movie that was already perfect to begin with? I am only giving this DVD a 5 star because it has the original one on it. If I had to rate the newer, updated version, I would give it a flat out 0. That's the truth! PLEASE GET IT ONLY TO WATCH THE ORIGINAL!
DVD Defective
The DVD skipped at two points in the play (very annoying) for too lengthly a time.
Informed seller.......who indicated that I should return the defective DVD for a replacement. I returned it, but to this day, have never received the replacement promised.
