Amazon.com Product Description
Tanaka's largest blower features a 65 cc engine, 850 CFM output, and a tube-mounted throttle control switch. Great everyday commercial grade blower that can handle the bigger jobs as well. If you prefer a side-mounted throttle, check out the TBL-7800.
On March 1, 1998, Tanaka became the first two-stroke manufacturer to certify to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions regulations. While most other manufacturers tried to fight the standard and say that it could not be done with two-stroke, Tanaka did it. Today, all Tanaka products comply with EPA phase 2 regulations and all Tanaka product groups are C.A.R.B Tier II compliant.

Commercial grade gas powered (CARB compliant).

Great Leaf Blower
Excellent backpack leaf blower. Not at all heavy and gets the job done. It has more then enough power to get the average job done and it also gets the big jobs done as well. It's worth the money if you have a large lot and need to clear leaves and other stuff often. I wish I had spent the money years ago after seeing how much time and effort it saves me durning spring and fall clean ups.
Excellent leaf blower
Over the past 15 years, this Tanaka is my 5th blower. Item arrived assembled with only the tubes and throttle body to install which was a simple operation. Unit started immediately after two pulls and has worked flawlessly (two months of daily home use). The quality of the product is a reflection of its "Made in Japan" credentials.
I have had 2 gas handheld (Sears & Stihl) and one 26cc gas back-pack (Homelite) blowers. Take it from my experiences, "if you want to save time, effort and have that professional clean-up look to your garden and other home areas, this is the blower to get." What used to take me 1 hour now takes 15 minutes. Previously, when leaves were wet, I wouldn't bother, but this commercial spec Tanaka does the clean-up efficiently and moreso, completely. Before making this purchase, I looked at other comparable models from Stihl & Echo. The origin, performance specs and pricing made me choose Tanaka. I am extremely happy with my decision.
Powerful commercial grade blower that will get it done!
I recently purchased one of these and have been impressed. I am not a commercial landscaper, but a homeowner with many trees that can be a problem in the fall. In my research, I found that this blower is pretty much a rebadged Redmax 7100. The only difference that I can find is the air filter and housing. There aren't many reviews about the Tanaka online, but if you research the Redmax ebz7100, you will be doing pretty much an "apples to apples" comparison, although, for whatever reason, the airflow numbers on the Tanaka are a bit higher.
This thing is a flat out beast! It isn't too heavy and not at all uncomfortable , but it will absolutely move some leaves (and sticks, rocks, acorns, etc). I bought it to replace a Husqvarna 145bt, which was a bulletproof soldier for many years (and is still running well to this day). I needed something stronger to shorten my spring and fall cleanups and the Tanaka fits the bill. It's well constructed, started right up, and really blows strong. The only potential negative that I could find is noise. It's a pretty loud machine, but what strong backpack isn't? I think it sounds cool, as I'm a hotrodder. It sounds just like a dirtbike at idle! While the sound doesn't bother me in the least, if you live in a garden home and/or have sensitive neighbors, it may not be for you. But if you are looking for a stout workhorse that will really shorten your workload, don't hesitate. This is a fine piece of equipment.
