Product Description

Ballroom dancing has always been about a man and a woman, moving together up close and personal. Today, stripped back to its soul, it is hot, sweaty and sexy. This is ballroom dancing in the new millennium. This is Floor Play.

Conceived, directed and choreographed by World Champion Ballroom dancer Jason Gilkison who choreographed the original Burn the Floor which has been seen by over 3 million people worldwide. Floor Play has been ten years in the making, and features a hand picked cast of dancers. Breath-taking, action-packed, unpredictable, sensual, and ultimately inspiring, this is Jason s legacy to us all.

June Nolen author of "In Reverse Time"4
I wasn't sure what to expect but I loved Burn The Floor. This production is definitely more Latin. The dancing and staging is superb. I've been out of dance for a long time but the stamina these young kids have is unbelievable. They never missed a beat. There was some Swing and other Ballroom in between the Latin. But all in all I loved it. I also loved the CD of Burn The Floor but this music wasn't as memorable to me. Maybe that's showing my age. But the energy of these young dancers lit up the stage! Great job!!

WOW!!!!5
I loved the original Burn The Floor, and thought this would be more of a continuation, or at least similiar. That it is not!!! The first viewing left me feeling disappointed. But then I watched it again, trying to not compare it to the original. Then I loved it, and now I watch it all the time.

The dancing and dancers are incredible and sexy without being vulgar. My personal favorite segment is #7 - Fire In The Ballroom and the Proud Mary bit is awesome.

The costumes were wonderful except at the end when the guys were wearing those ugly jeans.

My only complaint is that woman who sings. I found it very unpleasant to listen to, and the male singer wasn't much better. But the band was great.

Hotter than the first4
While I have to admit that I lean more to the smooth dances, this had some very hot rhythm numbers. Not as many waltz and foxtrots as the first Burn the Floor, still will keep you entertained. First class dancers and great photography.
