Album Description
After years of asking, fans are finally getting what they want - Girlyman's first live album! Packed with 29 tracks, Somewhere Different Now has it all: new unrecorded songs, covers, hilarious banter, and improvised ditties. The album is 76 minutes of pure, unleashed Girlyman, with all their intensity, levity, and harmony. An exciting, self-produced endeavor, this CD will make you laugh and cry (maybe both at the same time) and will give you the experience of a Girlyman concert in the privacy of your own home.
Customer Reviews
I've fallen for Girlyman
I first heard Girlyman on Pandora radio, and I have absolutely fallen in love with them. The tight harmonies and poignant lyrics have me singing along to nearly every song! (I won't record that for you)
I prefer the studio albums to the this live one however. The harmonies are not as pure, and the cutsie little tuning songs get old after a while.
Nonetheless I have bought all of their albums and I look forward to future releases!
Now you can enjoy the Girlyman live experience at home!
Girlyman is one of my favorite bands to see live, because their dynamic onstage is both funny and relaxed. If you enjoy Nate, Doris, and Ty's goofy banter and hearing the band pull harmonies out of their sleeves during ad-lib tuning songs, this is the disc for you. I'm surprised my copy hasn't worn out from the number of times I've listened to it!
