Customer Reviews

It does not read the disk1
I purchased this external drive for my netbook. My netbook recognizes the drive. However, no matter what CDROM I put in this reader the drive never reads the disk, and the computer keeps prompting me to put a disk in the D drive.

The external drive feels average enough, not too chintzy, not real top quality. The directions that are included are subpar and brief, which is okay if everything works fine, but when you have trouble with the drive there is no assistance in the directions.

It's possible mine was damaged, I did notice that there was an abnormal amount of lint in the center of the drive where you place the disk.

Just what the Dr. ordered!5
I have been using this drive with my netbook (linux OS) and works perfectly! Since I use my netbook while traveling, I do not always require CDs to go with me. Anything I will need is already on my SD card. The lack of a CD drive allows most netbooks to be small and efficient.
