I hardly know what to say about this story. It is part of a collection which I have not read, I am only familiar with this single tale. I do not know what the goal of this story really was. My assumption was that it is a Cthulhu mythos tale set in the wild west... why would a mythos story be placed in a universe where alcohol comes from springs? It's just silly. I won't ruin it for you, but the mythos element of this piece is minimal at best. But that's not to say I wasn't mildly entertained, I did read the entire thing at least.
