Tim Bowman makes his triumphant return to the fray with an album chock full orf crafty melodies and his trademark cool and funky hooks. His self-titled album marks his return from a 4 year hiatus and proves beyond a doubt that he still has the right stuff and has gathered no rust.

Customer Reviews
One of the best in the world.
I have been knowing this guy for over 40 years. as a teen I visited his church on many occasions and watched him perform. I followed his career through the times he was music director for The Winans in Detroit. All along I said, "This guy is going to make it big someday."
Tim has outclassed himself with this latest CD. He reminds you a little of Norman Brown but with more flare. He also reminds you a little of Earl Klugh. But he is distinctly his own original style and greatness all to himself. What a talent, what a blessing to the world of music.

Nice and smooth
For some reason Tim Bowman's style resembles me of Norman Brown's althought his reportoire seems a bit different. His explorations with the string guitar are much more frecuent than Norman Brown for starters. This is his 5th album and probably one of the best crafted and engineered technically speaking. Bowman exhibits his talent and the presence of some heavy weights of the genre like Kirk Whalum, Najee and Jeff Lorber add great musicianship to his work. Catchy "Sweet Sundays" will sure do a great job on the smooth charts but there are some great tracks in this album too. "Motor City Shuffle" featuring a gifted Mike Broening, "For you, my love" & "Sunset" both performed on a string guitar with a strong latin flavor, (especially the last one) and finally "Rapture" another great track featuring Najee on soprano sax and multi-instrumentalist collaborator Randy Scott an ever presence througout the album, probably are the most outstanding tracks. His son Tim Bowman Jr also makes an appearance in the only vocal song "All I Need is You". It's a great cd for the lover of this genre and other than his similar sound to Norman Brown's, this work deserved my unconditional attention and praise.
Tim is the MAN!!!
I grew up with Tim at the International Gospel Center and have always been proud to say he is my friend. His music has really evolved into something great. I am glad for him and this release. Can't wait for the next one
