(1954-USA). Three different syndicated rhythm and swing shows from the Apollo theatre in New York Citys Harlem. "Harlem Merry Go Round," "All-Star Revue" and "Showtime In Harlem." Using a variety show format, the shows are hosted by WILLIE BRYANT ("The Mayor Of Harlem"), and feature comedians NIPSY RUSSELL and MANTAN MORELAND. Also featured are the music of DUKE ELLINGTON and HIS ORCHESTRA, SARAH VAUGHAN, HERB JEFFRIES, THE LARKS, LIONEL HAMPTON and HIS ORCHESTRA, MARTHA DAVIS and SPOUSE, the NAT "KING" COLE TRIO, the DELTA RHYTHM BOYS and others. Excellent show, great black performers, the best of this kind of very pleasing music.
