Customer Reviews
Worth it
I replaced standard alkaline 9V batteries with these, in some devices that draw pretty heavily. I'm impressed...when charged, these have more "oomph" to them than a regular battery.
Good choice for electronic equipment
Yes, there is a lot to say about rechargeable batteries. There are several types out there. This 9-volt cell is a Nickel-Metal-Hydride (NiMH) chemistry.
We use this cell for our PA cordless microphones (both professional Shure transmitters). The NiMH chemistry allows us these advantages: (1) No gradual fall-off of power--the battery delivers nearly full current until just before it is exhausted; (2) Delivers that current over a relatively long period of time--we can keep the device powered for 90 minutes without worry; (3) No "memory effect" when recharging--we simply insert the cell into the charger at whatever charge level without concern of shortening battery life. We use this charger: Rayovac Universal Battery Charger for Rechargeable AA, AAA, C, D, and 9-Volt Batteries.
I'd recommend this cell unreservedly, especially with the 3-pack bundle in which Amazon offers it.
Fine Product So Far
These batteries charged just fine, but I have not had a chance to test their longivity. I would assume they would be fine.
